The Electrical Design Engineer will support a Design Manager and will be responsible for producing outline and detailed electrical designs primarily on AC, preferably on DC electrical networks supplying traction power to over ground and underground railways

Principal accountabilities include;

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced Clerk of Works to join the team on this busy Term Maintenance Contract. You will be responsible for overseeing both planned and routine highways maintenance both in and out of hours throughout the County.
Applicants will have been working within a Term Maintenance Contract and have experience of Supervising Sub Contractors to complete work to a high standard. You will be required to demonstrate a good level of civil engineering and small works experience. A proven track record of managing Pavement Renewals, junction improvements, footway reconstructions and general motorway surfacing works is essential.
The successful applicant will also be fully conversant in CDM regulations and have experience of managing health and safety on site and be capable of producing method statements and risk assessments. NRSWA and CSCS credentials are essential. A diploma or similar qualification in civil engineering would be beneficial.

We require a Schemes Engineer with highways experience to assist the Schemes Project Manager in the day to day management and delivery of highway improvement and road renewal schemes for the recently acquired LOHAC contract. The position is based in Surrey and covers schemes in the south of London. Candidates must have A HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering and a full driver's license.

Our Client, a leading Global Engineering Consultancy, is looking for a degree qualified, Drainage Engineer with at least 4 years drainage design experience. Responsibilities will include coordinating the design of surface water drainage to ensure that all infrastructure drainage meets common standards. The role, based in Cirencester, possesses the potential for growth, leading to opportunities for travel and work on international projects.

Responsibilities:

Day to day design and coordination with team members

Responsible for own designs, drawings and calculations

Liaising with contractors

Requirements:

4+ years drainage design experience

Degree qualified

Experience in the coordination of design activities on complex major projects with multiple stakeholders

An excellent knowledge of UK drainage design, design standards and drainage design software essential

Design skills of benefit would include excellent knowledge and experience of applying relevant drainage design codes; ability in and demonstrable experience in the application of drainage design software packages (MicroDrainage)

Microstation experience would be desirable

Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)

Able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness

Contractors Engineering Manager - Power / Rail

UK Utilities provider have identified the post Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) to join them on a 12 month contract who can offer sound experience of Network Rail operations

The purpose of this post will be to act as a project design verification and compliance verification authority. The CEM shall manage the development of designs through project life cycle ensuring they are unbiased, robust and optimally designed.

The Contractor's Engineering Manager is responsible for assuring all aspects of engineering works are implemented in accordance with processes, procedures for the design, construction, testing and commissioning and handover stages

To be considered you will be a qualified electrical engineer through a suitable tertiary education, ideally chartered and experienced in the design and commissioning of AC and DC electrical systems.
As a manager you will have proven technical and staff management abilities and a detailed understanding of Rail Industry operations

Project Engineer - Power

UK Utilities provider have identified the post of Project Engineer (Power Transmission & Distribution) to join them on a 12 month contract who can offer experience of Network Rail operations

The purpose of the post will be to provide support and assistance throughout the entire project lifecycle, to the Engineering Manager. Support areas to include review, enhancement and co-ordination of design preparation and review of method statements, development of project plans, access arrangements, identification and supply of CRE and oversee of site operations for compliance with designs.

Key Accountabilities include;

* Review and enhance build-ability of designs considering value, contractual requirements, implementation times, compliance with regulation standards, quality assurance, HSE

* Reviews and comment on the design and liaise with the Project Commercial to produce estimates.

* Liaise with the Project Planner and other construction affiliates to assist with the production of project plans and estimated resource requirements.

* Assist with the procurement of plant and materials
